Our Heritage

The Story of
Indian Kaapi

A journey through time, from ancient trade routes to your morning cup. Every bean tells a story of tradition, craft, and the pursuit of exceptional taste.

A Legacy Born in the Western Ghats

Coffee came to India in the 17th century, when a Sufi saint named Baba Budan smuggled seven beans from Yemen, planting them in the hills of Chikmagalur. From those humble beginnings, Indian coffee has grown to become one of the world's most treasured origins.

Indian Kaapi was founded on a simple belief: that the exceptional coffees grown in India's misty highlands deserve to be shared with the world. We work directly with multi-generational farming families in Coorg, Chikmagalur, and the Nilgiris, ensuring fair prices and sustainable practices.

Our Philosophy

"Coffee is not just a beverage. It is a ritual, a moment of stillness in a rushing world, a connection to the earth and the hands that nurtured each bean."

— The Indian Kaapi Manifesto
